TOEIC Recipe

Background

This book was collaboration between myself and Jiyoung Kim. It was written in Seoul, South Korea when I lived there back in 2007. Oddly enough, you can still buy it online nearly 15 years later! It was quite a difficult book to write, as TEOIC (and all other test preparation books) must be written in a very particular way, a way that matches the real TOEIC test perfectly.

That means the writing process is a continuous cycle of researching, writing, editing...researching, writing, editing...and so on...and on. What you're always researching is the different types of questions students will be faced with on the actual exam, of which there are many, and every different style of question must have it's own particular types of answers, answer choices, and deliberate distractions designed to test whether the test taker really understands the material or is just choosing the answer from a seemingly obvious clue in the text.
