Written Corrective Feedback Research
Background
This is research I did while teaching academic writing at an international university in Bangkok, Thailand. The purpose was to gather data that would tell me whether or not the written corrective feedback techniques I was employing in my class were effective at decreasing student writing errors. The study was done over a 13 week period and involved 16 students, 6 writing assignments and, in total, nearly 3000 tabulated and documented writing errors.
